My version of the "Nick Lucas" is a wonderful re-creation
of the Gibson model as built in the late 1930's. Although never
available from Gibson with a slotted headstock, I think it looks
perfectly at home here.
This
is an exceptionally powerful small-body guitar, suitable for many
playing styles. But think "blues". This is due in part
to the unusually deep body (4-7/8" at the tailblock). I am
offering this model in 12, 13, and 14 fret configurations just as
Gibson did, and with two different scales lengths. Shown here is
a 14 fret, 25.5" Scale version with the optional fingerboard
inlay as original to the 1930s Gibsons.
